The YMCA hires hundreds of seasonal employees for our variety of urban and outdoor Day Camp sites throughout Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford. In Haliburton, YMCA Wanakita hires year-round and seasonal positions to support summer overnight camp and year-round outdoor education program.
Camp staff become key figures in the lives of the children, youth and adults whom they teach, lead and have fun. We look for staff who will be positive role models to campers of all ages.

Camp Registrar (Full Time), YMCA Camp Wanakita
Employment Type: Full Time, Salaried with benefits and complimentary General YMCA Membership
Location: YMCA Camp Wanakita, 1883 Koshlong Lake Rd, Haliburton, ON K0M 1S0, with hybrid working options available
Salary Range: $45,000.00- $50,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience

Outdoor Centre Program Coordinator - Spring 2025
Employment Type: Seasonal Contract, with possibility of extension
Location: YMCA Camp Wanakita, 1883 Koshlong Lake Road, Haliburton, ON, K0M 1S0
Rate of Pay: $185 per day
Room & Board: Housing is available on site during the contract period. Wanakita’s Room and Board rate is $85.25 per week inclusive of single-room accommodation and meals. Living on site is not mandatory, however, the incumbent must be readily available and present during assigned shifts
Placement: April 20, 2025, to June 19, 2025
