The YMCA Federation in Canada’s Statement of Reconciliation was unanimously approved by all YMCAs in Canada and strengthens our dedication to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and communities in Canada. Six Nations of the Grand River children are receiving a boost to their YMCA Beyond the Bell™ program thanks to a recent $600,000 donation from the Tachane Foundation. The donation will not only support ongoing program delivery at Six Nations but provide funding to conduct a needs assessment in advance of expanding the program within Indigenous communities.

Vulnerable students in Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, Six Nations and other Indigenous communities, will have better access to academic help through YMCA Beyond the Bell™ thanks to a recent $370,000 donation from The Joyce Family Foundation.
