Announcement: Dr. Dana Liebermann, Vice President of Research Strategy & Impact Measurement
The YMCA of Hamilton | Burlington | Brantford is excited to announce the appointment of Dana Liebermann as the Vice President of Research, Strategy & Impact Measurement, effective June 3, 2024.
Dana brings over a decade of experience in senior leadership roles, particularly noted for supporting organizations in developing strategic and operational plans and establishing appropriate measures to evaluate impact. She has a strong background in project management, stakeholder engagement, and forming research partnerships, as demonstrated during her tenure as Executive Manager of Research and Organizational Transformation at the Waterloo Region District School Board and has supported the Hamilton community previously through her work as a Manager of the Research Department at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.
At the core of Dana’s work has been a commitment to promoting data-informed decision making, consistently creating spaces that fostered a supportive and results-oriented culture. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
This position marks a new chapter for the YMCA, focusing on enhancing the Association’s impact on community well-being through data analytics and organizational dashboards for improved transparency and effectiveness.
In her new role at the YMCA, Dana will leverage her skills to align research and data with our strategic priorities, including our YES priorities — Young people, Employees, and Seniors—using impact measurement as a critical tool to advance our mission and vision. Dana’s expertise will help drive the Association forward, aligning our actions closely with our values and community needs.
Having grown up attending programs at the YMCA in Mississauga, Dana is familiar with the organization's impactful community initiatives and looks forward to contributing her expertise and passion to the Association and the communities it serves.
Dana holds both a Doctor of Philosophy and a Masters of Science from the University of Victoria, specializing in Psychology.
